Mr. Karoblis was inaugurated as the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania in December 2016. Before taking office at the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Karoblis served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. During long diplomatic career which started in early 1990‘s Mr. Karoblis served in various departments of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was appointed as a representative to various International Organizations like WTO or EU.  

Mr. Karoblis holds a degree in law which he received in 1992 at Vilnius University. He is also decorated with two state awards for his service.
